Whimsy took its place beside more serious art at the 33rd annual Fountain Square Arts Festival on June 23 and 24. Paintings, photographs, jewelry, furniture, sculpture and garden decorations were on display along Church Street and Sherman Avenue in downtown Evanston.
At the south end of the festival, near Fountain Square itself, bands entertained the crowds on both days. With more than 225 artists this time, the festival is the oldest and largest art fair on the North Shore.
