On Thursday, July 5 at approximately 12:45 a.m. Evanston Police were called to the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 847 Dodge Av. in reference to a man with a gun.
Upon arrival, police officers located a subject matching the description provided by a 9-1-1 caller. Subsequent to an investigative stop, officers recovered a loaded .38 caliber handgun.
The man, an Evanston resident, was taken into custody, identified, and transported to the Evanston Police Department for processing.
