On August 18 at about 1 a.m., Evanston police responded to an armed robbery at the intersection of Foster Street and Orrington Avenue, said Diane Davis of the Evanston Police Department. The victim was walking northbound at Orrington and Foster when he noticed two persons across the street. One of the persons crossed the street and approached the victim. That person displayed a black handgun and robbed the victim of $20, various credit cards, identification cards and a cell phone, said Officer Davis. The two persons then fled on foot. Both subjects then fled on foot.
