Mudlark Theater Company will open its eighth season Oct. 19 with an original adaptation of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” the first of three productions in its Fall/Winter 2012-13 lineup. Auditions for all three shows are being held Aug. 27, 28 and 30 (for actors aged 9-16) at the First Congregational Church House, 1417 Hinman Ave. “‘Frankenstein’ is going to be a dramatic tragedy of sorts, an original adaptation based on Mary Shelley’s novel,” says director Michael Miro. “It’s looking at the life of this scientist and the tragedy that befalls him after he creates this monster. It’s a very intense play that’s going to feel very timely in the Halloween season.” Additional information is available at www.mudlarktheater.org.
