Five community leaders who are on the front lines every day will participate in a panel discussion on concerns about Evanston youth from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Curt’s Café, 2922 Central St.
With District 202 Superintendent Dr. Eric Witherspoon as moderator, experts Bill Geiger, McGaw YMCA; Kathy Lyons, The Moran Center; Sacella Smith, Youth Job Center; Susan Trieschmann, Curt’s Café; and Kevin Brown, City of Evanston, will discuss the biggest issues facing the City’s young people.
By the end of the evening, guests should not only have a better understanding of the problems and what is already being done to address them, but they can also learn how individuals can work together to be part of the solution.
The event is free and open to the public. Artisan pizzas and gourmet cookies will be served.
