Reverend Richard Mosley of Hemenway United Methodist Church did it up big for his 60th birthday – but not for himself. Rev. Mosley decided he wanted to help Curt’s Café by creating an endowment of $10,000 for the organization with the Evanston Community Foundation.
Friends and parishioners attended the celebration last month at Curt’s Café, 2922 Central St.
“I couldn’t be happier. This organization is doing something really valuable for our youth. And I want to see it here in the future. That’s what an endowment will do,” said Rev. Mosley.
The café’s executive director, Susan Trieschmann, presented a crystal flame inscribed with Rev. Mosley‘s name, remarking, “For your efforts to keep the flame of our work going is a flame to honor you. Thank you so much.”
