Christmas meets Kwanzaa in Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre’s third annual presentation of “Merry Kwanzaa.” 
Award-winning playwright Gloria Bond Clunie’s play shows four generations learning the meaning of love and unity and the power of faith. The play will be performed at 3 p.m. on Dec. 26 at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St. Admission is free.

Directed by Aubrey Marquez, “Merry Kwanzaa” features a multi-generational and multi-racial cast of Evanston residents, including Joyce Childress, Sandra Chavis and former Evanston Mayor Lorraine H. Morton. The center was filled to capacity the last two years, so come early for the best seating. More information is available at 847-448-8254.
