The Evanston Chamber of Commerce is putting a new look and new format on its annual celebration. Scheduled for Jan. 30, the event will be held at 27 Live, 1012-14 Church St.

Cindy Rawlings, vice president for community development at North Shore Community Bank and Trust, co-chair of the celebration, said, “We will continue our tradition of celebrating awardees with a lively evening of conversation and connecting in a more informal setting.”

John Tasiopoulous, owner of 27 Live, said, “We couldn’t have planned a better way to showcase our operation to the business community.”

Co-chair Karen Singer, CEO of Evanston North Shore YWCA and co-chair of the event, said the annual celebration will continue to honor outstanding businesses or individuals as the Businessperson of the Year and recognize outstanding leaders in the Community Leadership/Public Service category.

New officers of the Chamber will also be introduced that evening.  Outgoing president Sean O’Grady said attendees will have an opportunity to thank retiring board members and meet new members as well.

“Face-to-face networking is still one of the key elements of member-to-member connections, building relationships that are vitally important to the continued growth of the Chamber and Evanston businesses. The Chamber is about connections and conversations between businesses,” said Mr. O’Grady.

Cost, including food and beverages, is $45. More information and registration are available at or by calling Chamber Operations Director Elaine Kenna Irish, at 847-328.1500.
