As of 4:00 pm 2.1” of snow was measured at the Evanston Service Center. Snow routes have been plowed curb to curb where possible and are wet and slushy.

Residential streets are snow covered to slushy with extra crews currently working to open up side streets before rush hour.

The heaviest snow has passed on thru to north and lighter snow rates can be expected for the remainder of the night. Overnight temperatures will be around 32 to 34 degrees so a high degree of melting is expected.

Given the good conditions of the snow routes and warm temperatures overnight, NO PARKING RESTRICTIONS are expected at this time.

Although more snow is expected tomorrow much lighter accumulations are expected at this time and daytime temperatures of around 36 to 38 degrees.

More snow updates to follow if needed.
