The Chicago North chapter of Amigos will send 14 volunteers to Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and other places in Latin America this summer. To send them on their way, a group of volunteers – Aly Singleton, Ada Moses, Dean Shah, Angie Williams and Alex Wilson – will hold an electronics drive on April 13.The Chicago North chapter of Amigos will send 14 volunteers to Ecuador, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and other places in Latin America this summer. To send them on their way, a group of volunteers – Aly Singleton, Ada Moses, Dean Shah, Angie Williams and Alex Wilson – will hold an electronics drive on April 13. They are looking for donations of laptops, desktops, monitors, TVs, game systems, VCRs/DVD players, printers, scanners, copiers, typewriters, fax machines, calculators, phones, cell phones, cameras, pagers, controllers, keyboards, mice, cords/cables, hard drives, floppy drives, optical drives, vacuums, non-gas-powered tools, speakers, network equipment and projectors. These items may be dropped off on April 13 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Maple Elementary School, 2370 Shermer Road,  Northbrook. The company USMe will collect the donations and give the Amigos chapter money based on the content and amount of donations. Anyone interested in donating but unable to drop off donations may contact amigoselectronics@gmail.com for an alternative.
