Tonight is the last night for Chute Middle School’s production of the musical “Peter Pan.”
Every three years Chute embarks on a musical journey with students, staff and parent participation. The project engages more than 200 students in the cast, stage crew and orchestra who all work for several weeks, committed to after-school and weekend rehearsals.
Through the direction and leadership of drama teacher Gloria Clunie, the Chute Integrated Arts Team of Ina Allen, Matthew Hunter, Margaret Philbrick, Alyson Berger, Cindy Adler and Sherri Kushner, and the school’s PTA, the whole Chute community gets involved.
“We always looks forward to the musical,” said Chute Principal James McHolland. “It’s phenomenal to see all the hard work our students, parents, and staff put into making it a success. It’s worthy of Broadway.”
Tonight’s performance begins at 7 p.m., at the Chute School auditorium, 1400 Oakton St. Advance purchase tickets are $5 for students and adults. Tickets will be available at the door for $6 each. Tickets and information are available by calling the school, 847-859-8600.
