On April 23, a 45-year old Chicago man was sentenced to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for burglary of an Evanston home after pleading guilty while appearing before Judge Howard at the 2nd Municipal District Court Facility in Skokie, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department. The man was also given a concurrent sentence for another residential burglary committed in Evanston on Nov. 26, 2012 in the 2800 block of Sheridan Road when his fingerprint was recovered as evidence and a positive comparison was made by a forensic fingerprint examiner, the Commander said.
