The Evanston Police Department has launched a new webpage focusing on attempting to identify suspects in criminal offenses being investigated by detectives of the Evanston Police Department. This page will be updated as frequently as new photos become available in open investigations showing suspects that need to be identified by police.

The public can access the webpage at http://cityofevanston.org/police/surveillance-photos/. Citizens who observe an individual on the webpage and believe they know that suspect’s identity, can call anonymously the Evanston Police Department non-emergency number at (847)866-5000 and ask for the detective bureau or can submit a text through the Text-a-Tip program by texting to 27463 (CRIMES) and listing EPD TIP on the message line followed by the name of the person they believe is in the photo. Tipsters should make reference to the photo, offense, location, and date and time of occurrence listed on the webpage photo being viewed.

The Evanston Police Department encourages the public to assist us in our endeavor to reduce the number of crime victims in Evanston. By helping us solve crime, we can have a substantial impact on the reduction of future crimes occurring in our community.
