CTA will be doing work on the Purple Line at Washinton St. between Chicago Avenue and Custer Avenue June 8-9. One lane of traffic will be maintained for both directions utilizing traffic control. The work includes the craning of equipment and material from the south lane of Washington Street between Chicago Avenue and Custer Avenue.
Parking in areas will be restricted as needed. The sidewalk on the south side of Washington Street will be closed. There will be flaggers assisting pedestrians and traffic at all times during working hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
