The Evanston Police Special Operations Group executed a search warrant for narcotics on June 5 in the 1100 block of Sherman Avenue. Police recovered approximately 600 grams of marijuana, approximately 6 grams of crack cocaine and a loaded .38 caliber revolver, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department.

Police were not able to locate the man sought as part of the investigation on June 5, and he subsequently turned himself in on June 10. The Evanston man, age 26, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful use of a weapon and other offenses, said the Commander.
