The City of Evanston will be hosting its annual recycling fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 13 at Evanston Township High School, located at 1600 Dodge Avenue. The fair provides residents with the opportunity to recycle a variety of items, securely shred documents, obtain recycling education materials, learn about construction projects, visit with “green” vendors and get a close look at some Streets and Sanitation heavy equipment.

The city will also be taking orders for compost bins for Evanston residents who attend the fair, which will be delivered  to them at a later date. For those bringing items to recycle or shred, please   follow the signs and remain in your vehicle; we will unload the items for   you. Electronic recycling and document destruction are open to residents of   Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) communities. For more   information about what items are acceptable to bring, click here>>>.

Stop by the big, white tent in the Recycling Fair area to   receive the latest information on the city’s recycling and waste reduction   programs and give us your input on how we can make Evanston greener.
