On July 11, Morris (“Dino”) Robinson was the guest lecturer in the third of a series celebrating Evanston’s 150th anniversary. His multi-media lecture, “North of Chicago: African American Communities,”’ covered the growth of the African American community, many significant events, untold stories of lives of residents and information relating to the African American experience in Evanston and other North Shore suburbs from 1850.  Founder of Shorefront and director of  Shorefront Legacy Center, Mr. Robinson is production coordinator for the Northwestern University Press.
