Evanston Police are currently investigating the shooting of a young woman, 21 years old, in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue at approximately 2:20 a.m. on July 18. The young woman was shot in the right leg and was taken by Evanston Fire paramedics to Northshore University Hospital for treatment with non-life threatening injuries. The young woman and witnesses on scene were not cooperative with police during the initial investigation, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can call the Evanston Police Department Detective  Bureau at (847)866-5040 or utilize the anonymous text-a-tip program by texting CRIME (27463) followed by EPDTIP with the information on any SMS capable phone, said the Commander.
