On Sept. 23 , the District 65 School Board set a timeline for taking steps to select a search firm to assist in the search for a new superintendent for the District. After discussion, Board President Tracy Quattrocki said a request for proposals would be posted on the District’s website and sent to 10 or 12 firms on Sept. 20; the deadline for interested search firms to submit a proposal will be Oct. 14; the Board will meet in open session on Oct. 21 and select four firms to interview; the Board will then meet in open session on Oct. 28 and interview four firms and select one to assist the District in the search process.

The Board also discussed draft survey questions prepared by the ECRA Group that would be used, in part, to gather input to shape a vision for the District and to obtain views on important qualities for a new superintendent. The Board appointed a subcommittee to help focus the survey. It is anticipated that the search firm retained by the District will provide input on the survey questions before the survey is taken.
