Evanston Township High School’s annual student revue opens Oct. 11 for a seven-night run in the school’s Upstairs Theater. Now in its 56th year, this student-run production involves over 125 students as writers, directors, actors, singers, musicians and stage crew and always draws sell-out audiences.

This year’s laugh-fest, subtitled “Orange You Glad I Didn’t Say YAMO?,” lampoons such weighty topics as reality shows (Supt. Witherspoon’s Apprentice), Taylor Swift’s love life, and the (temporary) death of the Twinkie, among other targets for humor.

Show dates are Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26; all performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 and available online at ETHS’s web site or its theater site www.ethstheatre.com, ETHS Fine Arts Box Office number 847-424-7848, or in person weekdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Call in advance to check ticket availability the night of a show at 847-424-7130.

The Upstairs Theater lobby is handicapped accessible by elevator. Parking for YAMO is best in the school’s rear parking lot; enter off of Lake Street or Church Street.
