Brain wellness activities, compensatory strategies and skill-building exercises are highlights of a new six-week Cognitive Fitness Program offered by Northwestern University.
Beginning Oct. 9 on the Evanston campus, the Cognitive Fitness Program is designed both for individuals with memory or cognition difficulties and for those seeking to maintain and enhance skills. Participants are placed into one of two groups based on a cognitive screening conducted before registration. Held on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m., the program costs $220 and is offered in the fall, winter and spring. The program is run by Northwestern University’s Speech, Language, and Learning Clinic.
