Three hundred guests attended Evanston Community Foundation’s sold-out Celebrate!Evanston benefit on Oct. 26 at the Levy Senior Center. The event, which paid homage to the City of Evanston’s 150th anniversary, grossed more than $221,000 in support of the Foundation’s mission of helping Evanston thrive as a vibrant, inclusive and just community. Highlights of the event were a birthday cake-decorating contest and a stage skit titled “It’s a Wonderful (Life) Evanston” featuring famous Evanstonians.
