Grandmother Park officially opened for play on Nov. 1, with cheers, music, a ribbon-cutting and lots of children.
The pocket park, in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue, was a private-public venture, with residents and supporters raising money to help purchase the property.
The park will be maintained by the City of Evanston.
