Attendees were treated to an impressive exhibit chronicling IWSE’s history as well as the unveiling of a new video highlighting the impact of IWSE’s early education and family support programs. The evening culminated in IWSE Executive Director Cass Wolfe’s announcement of a special gift: The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston is the recipient of a $50,000 donation from the Jadel Youth Fund to seed an endowment which will help ensure IWSE’s next 100 years of addressing the needs of our community.

In addition to the endowment gift, the festive evening raised more than $55,000 to support

IWSE’s early education, parenting education and family support services. The Centennial Celebration was part of Celebrate!2013, a yearlong citywide commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Evanston’s formal incorporation. The Infant Welfare Society would like to thank our sponsors, Mrs. Faye Barreca, Laura and Kent Born, DBS Microsystems, Kelly Epstein, First Bank & Trust, Mrs. Mary Galvin, Make it Better, Jane Neumann and Steve Bogira, NorthShore University Health System, Presence St. Francis Hospital, Gene Servillo and Rosie Rees, Edwin Smolevitz and Rhonda Stein, Molly and Keith Veneziano, and Walgreens.
