An Evanston man, 20-years old, was shot four times in the 2000 block of Church Street at 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 9, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department. He was shot by a small caliber handgun two times in the hand, once in the leg, and once in the buttocks, said the Commander.

The young man went home and called police. He was taken to Evanston Hospital for treatment and released the same day. He was not seriously injured, said the Commander.

The young man told police there were two men involved in the shooting, whom he said he did not know. Police are continuing to investigate this incident, including a motive for the shooting, said the Commander.
