Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue at about 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 16, Commander Jay Parrott told the RoundTable. On the scene, police were told that four persons, two from Evanston, were in a car when a man with a hoodie covered his face, pulled out a gun and began firing at the car. The men left the car and ran. The shooter reportedly ran north on Jackson.

Police found multiple bullet holes in the driver-side door, and windows were broken, said the Commander. No one, however, was shot, he said. The vehicle was a rental car. Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
