Presence Saint Francis Hospital President and CEO Roberta Luskin-Hawk, M.D. was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review in its 2013 list of “300 Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know,” for her outstanding commitment to improving healthcare in America.
In her 24-year career as a practicing physician, Dr. Luskin-Hawk has played a significant role in bringing AIDS research and treatment to the community. She co-founded one of the first HIV inpatient units serving the Chicago metropolitan area at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in 1987, and as an AIDS/HIV advocate, she later founded a not-for-profit clinical research consortium in Chicago focused on improving access to people previously under-represented in clinical trials. She is also the president of CEO of Presence Saint Joseph Hospital.
“We are very pleased to have Dr. Luskin-Hawk serving two of our most prominent Chicago hospitals. With her focus on quality and clinical excellence, combined with her background in medicine and passion for her work, we know she will continue to grow as a top leader in health care,” said Sandra Bruce, president and CEO of Presence Health.
