An Evanston Police patrol unit on Feb. 23 at approximately 9:30 p.m. conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1100 block of Dodge Avenue, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department. During the course of the traffic stop, police recovered a loaded .357 magnum revolver which was reported to be stolen out of Chicago, said the Commander. As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged an Evanston man, 31, with multiple weapons offenses, said the Commander.
The man appeared at a bond hearing this morning and bond was set at $50,000, in addition to electronic home monitoring if bond is posted, said the Commander.
