To help celebrate annual senior night, all six seniors – Ashley Smith, Seara Clayborn, Sierra Clayborn, Dashae Shumate, Mae DeVuono and Kyler Garron– scored field goals in the first quarter.

On Feb. 20, the Wildkits gave up 17 points in the first quarter of the first game of the regional tournament against Glenbrook North. From then on, though, the Kits ruled the court, forcing a total of 32 turnovers in a 48-34 win over the Spartans. Seara Clayborn, Dashae Schumate and Krystall Forrester were high scorers for the Kits with 16, 16 and 13 points respectively.

The next night, the Wildkits crushed Resurrection, 41-27, to win their second straight Class 4A regional championship. Amori-Wool had 10 points, Sierra Clayborn, 9, and Forrester, 7, for the Kits. Overall, the Kits made only 14 of 50 field goals attempts, but it was enough to carry the day.
