Presidents past and present, current members and community leaders attended a Feb. 19 open house to celebrate the 125 anniversary of the Woman’s Club of Evanston.

“We’re celebrating all year with small programs focusing on our members,” said Woman’s Club President Kathy Rocklin. The club hopes its anniversary present to the community will be a donation of $125,000 to local charitable organizations – a 25 percent increase over its traditional $100,000 in annual grants.

“We’re very proud of our history and what we’ve done with this City,” said Ms. Rocklin. “I just love the Woman’s Club,” she added, “not only for what we do for the community but for what we do for each other.”
