The City of Evanston has provided the following information about snow for the upcoming weekend:

Several snow systems are expected to affect the Evanston area through the weekend.

To begin with light snow is expected overnight tonight. The snow is expected to begin after midnight and should taper off before 7am. Around ½” is expected tonight and temperatures are expected to be between 18 and 20 degrees.

A bit of a lull is expected Saturday morning and early afternoon with maybe even some peaks of the sun may even occur. More snow is expected Saturday evening into Saturday night. The snow should end early Sunday morning with a total accumulation of 3”-4” possible.

Public Works has crews on standby for the whole weekend and will begin snow operations when necessary. Public Works has anti-iced all main and secondary streets and has also treated all residential streets.
