The public is invited to fly their magic carpets to the Levy Center this weekend, as Evanston Children’s Theatre presents “Aladdin Jr.,” a musical production just over an hour long that tracks the plot and incorporates most of the songs of the Disney movie “Aladdin.”

Part of the cast played to a very young audience on March 15 at the Main Library. Eric Periman as Aladdin,
Audrey Kermgard as Jasmine and Sarah Johnson as Genie – one of three who play that role – sang “It’s a Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me” to toddlers and their parents, Evelyn Binz on piano and Matt Bozeday on percussion.

“Aladdin Jr.,” directed by Donny Kolakowski, will be performed at 7 p.m. on March 28, at 3 and 7 p.m. on March 29 and at 3 p.m. on March 30 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave. Tickets, required for everyone over 1 year of age, are
$6 each.
