The Evanston Health Department’s Women Out Walking (WOW) program is accepting registrations for the spring 2014 12-week walking program. The sooner you join, the sooner you’ll start seeing health benefits from increased activity.  

The registration fee is $5, which includes a WOW T-shirt and a pedometer to track your steps. New this year is the “Passport to Health,” which is filled with discounts from local businesses given to walkers. Register online at:

To pick-up your WOW packet or pay cash for registration, please visit Room G600 of the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, or come to the next WOW monthly group walking event on Saturday, April 5 at 9 a.m. at Presence Saint Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Ave., Evanston. The group will meet in the hospital’s auditorium before the walk.
