The ribbon-cutting on April 3 officially opened Peckish Pig, 623 Howard St. Peckish Pig serves an eclectic mix of internationally-inspired cuisine along with handcrafted brews and cocktails in a rustic space.
“We’re so happy to be open in this great Howard Street location, and the feedback from local residents so far has been excellent,” said co-owner Debbie Evans, second from right.
The restaurant’s name, “Peckish,” comes from a British expression meaning “somewhat hungry.”
“It’s fantastic to retain such wonderful business owners and community members in Evanston,” said Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, right.
“A Howard Street renaissance is well under way, and revitalization efforts continue to move forward,” said Eighth Ward Alderman Ann Rainey, third from right.
