The  community is invited to join artists from Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre and the Chicago theater community to read and discuss the August Wilson play “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” at 6 p.m. on April 28 in the community room of the Main Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.

In this story, Herold Loomis was abducted into forced labor on a cotton plantation 10 years before and has spent the last several looking for his wife.

Director and Loyola Theatre Professor Jonathan Wilson will moderate the April discussion. Register at 847-448-8620 or epl.org.

There will be an extended discussion at 7:30 p.m. across the street at the Celtic Knot Pub.
