The Music Institute of Chicago continues its free lunchtime concerts and conversation one Wednesday per month. In May, “The Great Chicago Boogie Woogie Pianists” will feature Music Institute faculty member Eric Sutz. Mr. Sutz will talk about the history of the genre and perform in the different styles of artists Jimmy Yancy, Pinetop Smith, Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis and others, as well as performing pieces of more contemporary boogie pianists such as Dr. John and Allen Toussaint.

The next program will begin at 12:15 p.m. on May 21 at the Music Institute of Chicago Black Box Theater, 1702 Sherman Ave.
