The ETHS girls water polo team won the Central Suburban League tournament championship on May 10, beating Glenbrook North, 8-3. Aliya Abdelhak scored three goals for the Kits, Karissa McBride and Courtney Gregori scored two each, and Honore Collins scored one. After that game the Kits were 20-6 for the season.
The girls moved on to play in the IHSA Sectionals held at the University of Illinois-Chicago. They won their first game 13-1 against Westinghouse on May 15, and then beat Lane Tech, 6-3 on May 16. The next day, though, they lost a tough one to St. Ignatius, 9-3.
