LYFE Kitchen, grounded in the philosophy that great-tasting food can and should be nutritious, affordable and convenient, has opened a restaurant at 1603 Orrington Ave. The restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, and each dish is made to order.

Chefs Art Smith and Jeremy Bringardner and vegan consulting chef Tal Ronnen have developed a menu that they call “as delicious as it is inspiring” and that uses locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

“We are at a pivotal point in society where improving the way we eat will have great impact on ourselves, our communities and our planet,” said LYFE Kitchen CEO Mike Roberts. “LYFE Kitchen’s mission is to help people change the way they eat for the better by caring for our food system in a socially and environmentally responsible way.”

For ambience, the Evanston location is sustainabile, efficient and eco-friendly.  Interior elements include reused, renewed and recycled materials, low-voltage and LED lighting and LEED certification. The restaurant also has a patio for seasonal outdoor seating.
