The City of Evanston has developed a survey to gather input from the community regarding the priority needs of low- and moderate-income residents in the areas of housing; public infrastructure and facilities; social services; and economic development.
The survey will be available online in both English and Spanish through July 7, 2014 at www.surveymonkey.com/s/EvanstonPriorityNeedsSurvey. Those without internet access may call 311 to complete the survey in English or Spanish (847-448-4311 outside Evanston).
The survey about the needs of low- and moderate-income residents will guide the development of the City’s 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan that governs the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The statutory goals of the Consolidated Plan are to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and to expand economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents.
