From Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27, AT&T will implement a temporary traffic control plan on Grove St., between Chicago Ave. and Sherman Ave., to accommodate work in the area.
The work will include digging a pit at the manhole located on Grove St. at the entrance to the alley between Chicago Ave. and Sherman Ave., and the installation of a duct to the utility pole adjacent to 620 Grove St.
Construction will occur each day between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Grove St. will remain open, but a lane shift will be instituted daily. Five metered parking spots on the north side of Grove St. and four metered parking spots on the south side of Grove St. will be unavailable during the construction period to allow for the lane shift.
Drivers are asked to use extreme caution when entering this area from either the eastbound or westbound lanes, due to workers and equipment in the street. Arrow boards and signage will assist vehicles travelling through the construction area during working hours.
