Now in its 15th year, It’s Thursday, Let’s Dance! will offer free dancing in downtown Evanston in its new location at the 1603 Orrington Ave. plaza.

Dance instruction by Blaze the Floor Dance will be offered each week from 6 to 6:45 p.m., followed by live music and dancing from 7 to 9 p.m.

A different dance style will be the focus each Thursday, with musical genres including: Latin, swing, jazz and more.  The event is free and all ages are invited to grab a seat and enjoy the music or join the party for a night of dancing.   

Here is the lineup for It’s Thursday, Let’s Dance!:

• July 10, The Flat Cats – Hot swing, jazz, contemporary classics and timeless standards

• July 17, Evanston-based South Boulevard Band – Dynamic blues by veterans of Chicago’s music scene.

• July 24, Rio Bamba – A blend of bossa nova, samba, American and Latin Jazz.

• July 31, Petra Van Nuis Quartet – Easy listening by Chicago-based jazz group.
