The North End Mothers’ Club held its annual Scholarship Tea, where the 2014 recipients of the Club’s four scholarships were announced. Tyler Dixon is the 64th recipient of the Senior Girls Honor Award. She was previously awarded the Spanish Academic Achievement Award and the Math Academic Excellence Award. She will major in communications and sociology at Hampton College.

The Joanne Murphy Trautwein Music scholarship was awarded to Lauren Jones. She was a four-year member of the Evanston Township High School Choir and sang in the vocal groups Dazzling Dames and Bazao A Capella. She will study vocal performance and music education at either Milikin University or Illinois Wesleyan.

The two STEM scholarships were awarded to Molly Linder and Ilise Rosen. Molly, the recipient of the Science Department award for excellent achievement, will major in biomedical engineering at the University of Southern California.

Ilise took classes in the national Project Lead the Way pre-engineering program and completed an independent study project in the area of electrical engineering. She plans to pursue a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois.
