Covering the new and old favorite restaurants in Evanston is an ever-growing assignment for foodies throughout the Chicagoland area.
Attendees at the fifth annual Evanston MashUp will have an opportunity to do lots of sampling on Sept. 16, when Evanston’s leaders in business, arts, academics and government get together for a very special evening.
Crain’s Chicago Business recently posed the question, “When Did Evanston Get Hip?”
Residents say it has been happening for quite a while, and they are happy to share the plate with folks to the south as well as those from the north and beyond.
Early participants for the MashUp include the following restaurants and thirst-quenching establishments, with places at the giant tent on the lakefront going fast: Boltwood, Cooked, Few Spirits, Found, Koi Sushi Lounge, Maggiano’s Old Orchard, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Peckish Pig, Sips on Sherman, The Globe Café, The Stained Glass and The Cellar, Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., World of Beer and 27 Live.
