New Beginnings North Shore Church Honors Nine Evanstonians

New Beginnings North Shore Church of Evanston honored nine Evanston residents with the Ultimate Purpose Award at a gala on Oct. 4.

The award was created to honor citizens impacting the sectors of arts and entertainment, business, education, emerging youth, family/community, government, media and religion/ministry, inspired by the principles of the “7 Mountains of
Influence” in culture.

This year’s honorees are Dr. Walt Whitman of Soul Children of Chicago, Cameka Smith of The BOSS (Bringing Out Successful Sisters) Network, Alana Amaker of Evanston Township High School, Bailee Rue of Bailee’s Healthy Snacks, Seth Himrod and Tracey Wallace of Evanston Junior Wildkits Football program, Alderman Peter Braithwaite, Karen Jordan of ABC-7 Chicago News and Christine Samuels of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.
