Bangers & Lace, a tavern and restaurant currently operating in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, will open a new facility at 810 Grove St. in early November, said Footman Hospitality, the establishment’s parent company. The 4,200-square-foot, 130-seat tavern, to be located on the site of the old Keg tavern, will have a 32-tap rotating beer selection and an extensive drink list. Current Bangers & Lace executive chef Jesse Miller will run the kitchen.

Food selections will have a similar feel to the existing Bangers & Lace menu of gourmet sausages, elevated appetizers and bar snacks. Chef Miller is also committed to making as much product in-house as possible. “Evanston has a ton of young professionals,” said Footman.

“It has a thriving family and neighborhood dynamic,” said Hospitality partner Jason Freiman.

“It has a vibrant downtown and it’s craving more upscale quality concepts. That’s why we naturally gravitated toward Evanston as we look to expand our brand,” Mr. Frieman added.
