More than 250 guests took part in this year’s black-tie Cradle Ball at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago. The evening included a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing, as well as silent and live auctions for prizes. A portion of the program focused on the 2014 Silver Cradle Awards, which recognize Chicago-area companies that provide adoption benefits to their employees.
The Cradle Ball, which has generated more than $3.7 million since 1995, supports The Cradle’s programs and services for children, expectant women, adoptive parents and adopted persons. More than just a fund-raiser, the ball is about promoting awareness of ethical adoption practice and celebrating adoptive families.
