Esskay Development began construction this month on the first new condominium building in Evanston in more than five years.  The project located at 910 Hinman Ave. will be a four-story building, consisting of seven luxury units. Expected completion for delivery of the units is late summer 2015.  The principals of the developer, all southeast Evanston residents, are Steve Mullins, Kevin Pearson and Jeff Scales. Speaking for the developer, Mr. Mullins said, “We believe 2015 will be the year that condominiums will begin to regain favor over rentals.” He also emphasized that the project is being developed without the benefit of any financial assistance from the City.
