Meals at Home held its annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast on Nov. 13 at Three Crowns Park, honoring the many volunteers who deliver meals, six days a week, every week, throughout the year.
With more than 300 active volunteers, Meals at Home is able to deliver more than 30,000 meals each year to North Shore residents who are unable to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Many volunteers have been delivering meals for more than 20 years. They took the opportunity to share their delivery experiences despite snow storms, sweltering summer days and road construction.
The Meals at Home volunteers deliver meals, provide friendly visits and offer grocery shopping for their clients.
