The City of Evanston is seeking letters of intent from experienced theatre companies to lease the Noyes Street Theatre at 927 Noyes Street, Evanston, IL 60201.

The theatre is located inside the Noyes Cultural Arts Center (NCAC) which is the lively home to over 20 artists and arts organizations offering music, theater and visual arts programs and studios. It is situated in an eclectic and unique neighborhood with close proximity to public transportation, restaurants, downtown Evanston and Northwestern University. The NCAC supports the creation and presentation of work by artists who strive for excellence and innovation in their work and are committed to reaching the diverse audiences of Evanston, the North Shore and metropolitan Chicago.

The intimate theatre features approximately 3,100 sq. ft. and includes these highlights:

  • Newer seating
  • Newer carpeted interior
  • Stage size 33′ x 28′
  • Dressing room with private restroom
  • Kitchen
  • Stage manager’s booth
  • Equipped with lighting and sound package
  • Handicapped accessible

Letters of intent are being requested from interested organizations seeking space from February 1, 2015 through May 31, 2015. Dependent upon letters of intent received, space may be rented on a short term or long term basis. 

Projected Timeline (dates are estimates and may change):

  • Walk through and Q&A session — Friday, December 12, 2014, 10 a.m.
  • Letters of Intent submission due date — Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 5 p.m.
  • Notification of decision — Friday, January 9, 2015
