This fall, School District 65 embarked on a strategic planning process to set goals and guide work over the next three years. Nearly 2,000 people have been engaged in this process by submitting feedback on the proposed mission statement, volunteering to serve on a committee, taking the online survey or participating in a focus group.
The strategic planning committees are working to review and incorporate this feedback into developing a realistic and meaningful strategic plan that will shape the future of District 65.
The draft of strategic plan will be posted online on Jan. 28 and presented for discussion at three community forums to be held on the following dates:
• Feb.3, 7 – 9 p.m. at Chute Middle School, 1400 Oakton St.
• Feb. 5, 7 – 9 p.m. at Nichols Middle School, 800 Greenleaf St.
• Feb. 7, 9 – 11 a.m. at Haven Middle School, 2417 Prairie Ave.
Beginning Jan. 28, there will be a two-week public comment period to review this plan online at www.district65.net and to submit feedback.
